Needles and Injection Devices
Heritage Biologics provides patients with Sharps containers for safe disposal of needles and injection devices. Once the container is full, you will place it in the pre-paid box provided, and drop if off at your local post office where it will be mailed to a safe-disposal facility. Remember to call us so we can include a new Sharps container in your next shipment!
For safe medication disposal, we recommend the following:
- Contact your city or county government's trash and recycling services and follow their instructions, or
- Look up a local medication disposal facility and follow their instructions.
Note: Heritage Biologics advises against disposing of ANY needles, injectable devices, and/or medication in the trash or dumpster.
